Cooking: How to Cook Seafood Kare Kare

Seafood Kare Kare is a Filipino dish wherein seafood such as shrimp, crab, squid, and mussels are pan fried and then cooked in a sauce made of peanut (or peanut butter) and coconut cream. Vegetables such as string beans and banana blossoms are also used.

Kare-kare is perfect when eaten with warm white rice and some shrimp paste (also known as bagoong alamang).
